The Las Vegas Monorail system operates entirely on electricity and utilizes trains that produce no emissions, thereby decreasing emissions by over 27 tons and eliminating more than 2 million vehicle miles each year in Southern Nevada! The Monorail employs regenerative braking technology, which captures surplus energy generated when the train cars decelerate, conserving as much as 20 percent of the system’s energy.

Monorail Stations are staffed with security officers charged with maintaining the security of the system and helping passengers. They also answer questions out the hours of operation, ticket machines and riding the system.
