About George Lynch: George Lynch was born on September 28, 1954, in Spokane, WA, and he started learning guitar when he was just 10 years old. A naturally talented musician, he quickly advanced in his guitar skills, using it as a creative outlet during his teenage years while performing with various bands, especially Sergeant Rocks. In the late 1970s, George relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he established two bands, The Boyz and Xciter. With Xciter, George’s exceptional technical skills and distinctive style attracted a significant following. As he played the L.A. club scene, it became evident that he was already paving the way for his future success in the 1980s, particularly with his collaboration with the iconic band Dokken.

George Lynch has always been known for his remarkable and distinctive style, both in sound and appearance. The guitars he has used throughout his iconic career are a big part of his identity and are easily recognizable. Now, he’s excited to share those beautiful designs and craftsmanship with you.

From George himself: “In my early days, I would make primitive modifications to my instruments in my dad’s garage. Later, I began assembling unique builds for some of my guitar students. Eight years ago, I started experimenting with carving and painting my ESP guitars, which eventually led me to create Mr. Scary Guitars.”

When George Lynch became a member of Dokken in the early 1980s, he quickly found success. History shows that a significant portion of the band’s album sales and reputation can be attributed to George Lynch’s exceptional guitar skills and songwriting talent. During his time with Dokken, Lynch recorded five albums between 1983 and 1988, all of which achieved remarkable success in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
