Here are several images documenting an active pickup installation project. This is undoubtedly the most ambitious undertaking I have ever pursued, in part due to the guitar’s value which constrained the extent to which I could employ radical repair techniques. Included are some before and after photographs illustrating the guitar modifications and adjustments.

The installation of active EMG pickups is generally a solderless, plug-and-play procedure that utilizes the supplied cables, pots, and bus system. The essential steps involve replacing the current pots with 25k pots, linking the pickup cables to the bus/switch, installing a new stereo output jack, and connecting a 9V battery. It is crucial to note: Do not attach a string ground wire.
